The BSPOGA is pleased to offer three prizes:
Prize essay competitions on-hold this year as entries will be for the World Congress next year. Interested students should submit their abstracts for the World Congress once on-line submission opens in July this year. Prize of £200 offered to student doctors or doctors in training grades A prize of £200 is offered to medical students or doctors in training grades for a written piece of work on any topic related to psychological and social aspects of childbearing related issues, menstruation, reproductive problems, sexual dysfunction, cancer and the menopause. They will be judged by a multidisciplinary team who will take into account the potential benefit to women. The submission should explore the psychosocial aspects of the chosen topic, preferably an original piece of work. The aims, presentation and originality of the work will be crucial in helping the panel reach its decision. Submissions should be not more than 3000 words, be word processed (Arial, font size 12) and sent to the address below by post or email. No material will be returned. However, if the submission is considered suitable for further improvement to be presented at a future BSPOGA scientific meeting, the candidate will be given suggestions regarding this. In addition to the prize, the winner will be invited to present a poster or oral presentation at the BSPOGA Annual Scientific Conference in 2009. Expenses will be paid for travel and registration. A prize equivalent to £25 is also offered for the runner up. Entries should be submitted by 28th July 2009. Winners will be informed by October 2009 prior to BSPOGA’s Annual Conference.
