British Society of Psychosomatic Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Andrology (BSPOGA)

The BSPOGA is pleased to offer three prizes:

-£300 is offered to student doctors or doctors in training grades

-£300 is offered to midwives and midwifery students

-£300 is offered to psychology students


Prize of £300 offered to student doctors or doctors in training grades

A prize of £300 is offered to student doctors or doctors in training grades for a written piece of work on any topic related to psychological and social aspects of child-bearing related issues, menstruation, reproductive problems, sexual dysfunction, cancer and the menopause. They will be judged by a multidisciplinary team who will take into account the potential benefit to childbearing women. The submission should explore the psychosocial aspects of the chosen topic.

Submissions should be not more than 3000 words, be word processed (Arial, font size 12) and sent to the address below by post or email by 1st September 2008. No material will be returned.

In addition to the prize, the winner will be invited to present a poster or oral presentation at the BSPOGA Annual Conference in 2008 and expenses will be paid.

A prize equivalent to £25 is also offered for the runner up.
